1. Meeting called to order at 6:27pm by President Jay Hencken

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll Call: Commissioner Hencken, President Present
Commissioner Hall Present
Commissioner Greene Present
Commissioner Fahey Present
Commissioner Monroe Present
Chief Gritzner was also in attendance.

4. Motion made (Fahey/Hall) to approve the agenda. Motion carried 5 – 0

5. Motion made (Hall/Monroe) to approve August 14,2008 minutes as presented. Motion carried 5 – 0

6. Detective Gritzner, City of Lake Geneva, gave a presentation on gang activity in the area.

7. Public Comment: No public was in attendance

8. Unfinished Business:
A. Civilian complaint procedure (final draft)
Discussion of the final draft took place. A motion was made (Fahey/Monroe) to adopt the Civilian complaint procedure. Motion carried 5-0

B. By-Laws for operation of Commission
A discussion took place and changes were made. A motion (Hencken/Monroe) was made to add “Articles” to each section of the policies and to add Section 5 under Article I to the policies. Motion carried 5-0.

9. Unfinished Business
A. Review & Discuss New Administrative Forms
President Hencken advised the Commission that he is currently working with information systems on forms. They should be ready for the October meeting.

B. Chief of Police Job Description
A draft will be ready by the Oct. meeting

10. Motion made (Hall/Greene) to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0
