B. Tree dedication plaque for the late Bill Andrew may not be complete.
Need pole for plaque placement?
C.
John DeBaere met with John Packard to view and walk the property with a laser. 90% of elderberry appears to be dead at top. Did not go forward to Planning Commission since more information needed regarding parking spots, restrictions regarding road drop, materials needed,
planned. Culvert would have to be put in. Due to cost factors involved in placing these parking spots, materials exceeding $4000.00 may
mean this may be cost prohibitive. May need to plan
differently. May need path and bench only and take care of water drainage
first.
As John DeBaere was at park cutting, measuring, etc. he was approached by local residents who said they would not be happy with parking spots.
If we decide no parking spots, may put in benches if approved by Planning
Commission. Not sure how many benches, bridge, etc.? Needs more planning
and discussion before going back to the Planning Commission for a variance.. Also DNR as needs to see what we are planning first.
We still have questions about stream design, permit etc.
.
Per John we should put this on hold for now. He is cutting front area which is accessible with his mower. May need help to get a brush hog for rest.
Mike suggested doing this in phases due to finances. Plan was to put up placards and ask for help from Boy Scouts as a project.
Motion made by John not to go forward to Planning Commission at this time.. Second by Mike. 5-0-0.
Motion made by John suspend activity on
Planning Commission until preliminary stream work and more research is done. Second by Dawn. 5-0-0.
Dawn and Lynn looking into the Community Outreach grant process. State pays 50% . Our budget was cut 66% to be used between 3 parks. Do we have stream remediation money? Volunteers for projects?
