TOWN OF GENEVA

RESOLUTION NO. 93-2

LAKE PLANNING GRANT SPONSORING RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lake Como Beach Property Owner's Association, to file an application for state financial assistance for the planning of a wastewater conveyance system under the DNR's Lake Management Planning Grant Program; and

WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has determined that it is necessary to designate the Town of Geneva as the sponsor of this application, due to the eligibility requirements of NR 119.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Geneva will sponsor this application, and that the Town designates the Lake Como Beach Property Owner's Association, specifically David Van Lue, Association President, as the Town's representative for the purpose of filing this application, and taking all necessary steps in connection with the application; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town supports the Association's goal of having the grant used for preparing a Facility Plan for a wastewater conveyance system and supports the project goal to alleviate documented water pollution problems; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town expects the Lake Como Beach Property Owner's Association to pay all costs, both direct and indirect, associated with this project, and state that this sponsorship not be construed as transferring the financial responsibility of this project to the Town of Geneva.
