TOWN OF GENEVA

RESOLUTION NO. 114

A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDED PLAN
OF THE SOUTHWICK CREEK WATERSHED PROJECT

RESOLUTION of Geneva Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin.

WHEREAS, Geneva Lake is an important resource; and

WHEREAS, the Southwick Creek subwatershed is located in the Geneva Lake Basin; and

WHEREAS, a portion of the Southwick Creek subwatershed is located within Geneva Township; and

WHEREAS, there exists a water quality problem within the Southwick Creek subwatershed and that there has been prepared a Protection Plan for the Southwick Creek Watershed under the cooperative efforts of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Geneva Lake Environmental Agency; and

IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED THAT Geneva Township supports the findings of the Southwick Creek Watershed Project's Phase 1 Report and the Advisory Committee's Recommended Southwick Creek Watershed Implementation Plan listed as the Addendum to the Report.

HEREBY AUTHORIZES the Geneva Lake Environmental Agency to act on behalf of Geneva Township in the implementation of the Project's recommendation.

Adopted this 9th day of December, 1996 by a vote of 4 in favor, 0 against, and 0 abstain.
