TOWN OF GENEVA
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
MARCH 12, 2008

Chairman Lauderdale called the duly posted and noticed meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. In attendance were Lauderdale, Supervisor Millard, Clerk/Treasurer Kirch, and Attorney Harvey. No quorum. Members of the WI DNR, Lake Committee and Park Commission were also in attendance. Meeting became informational only.

Brian Hinrichs from Liesch Environmental reviewed the history of the Como Auto Salvage. Incident of 2007 involved a burn at the yard. Discussed availability of Brownfield, Greenspace, Stewardship, and Ready for Reuse grants. Need access to property for completion of Phase II Site Assessment and to collect water samples. Cost could possibly be $15,000-$20,000. Need to assess the property completely and then apply for grant in October 2008, to be awarded in 2009.
