TOWN OF GENEVA
SPECIAL BOARD AND PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
OCTOBER 7, 2008
Chairman Lauderdale called the duly posted and noticed meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In attendance were Lauderdale, Supervisors Kukla, Fahey, Kamps, Millard, Plan Commission Members Anton, Ames, Cocroft, Schmidt, Thometz, Olson, Plan Commission Secretary Mary Van Lue, and Attorney Harvey. Clerk/Treasurer Kirch took the minutes of the meeting.
Attorney Harvey reviewed the Conditional Use rules. Property owner has limited rights. Bed & Breakfast is a Conditional Use in R-2 zoning. Proposal for four parking spots for guests and a garage for owner parking. Questioned Lake Como Beach Property Owners Association by-laws. Fahey to discuss with the Association Attorney. Plan Commission recommended denial to the Town. Up to the Town to put the conditions on (landscape screening, fencing, noise, nuisance, etc.). Concerns with watercraft parking on the lot and road. More detailed plans, with elevations, needed. Lauderdale read the conditions placed on the Witt B&B property from the August 8, 2005 minutes. Will be addressed at the October 13, 2008 Town Board meeting.
Motion (Millard/Kamps) to stop the tape as the land use plan workshop will begin. Approved 5-0. Attorney Harvey left at 7:04 p.m. Several areas were reviewed and zoning was revised. Audrey Boss recorded the proposed revisions to the 2035 Plan on the large map. Discussed future need of park and utility locations. Discussed the bike trail connection. Maps to be forwarded to Neal Frauenfelder at Walworth County. Back on tape at 8:36 p.m.
