SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
DECEMBER 28, 2009
Chairman Lauderdale called the duly posted and noticed meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. In addition to Lauderdale, in attendance were Supervisors Kukla and Millard. Supervisors Fahey and Kamps, and Administrator Downing were excused. Clerk/Treasurer Kirch took the minutes of the meeting.
Five bids were received for Assessment Services for the Town of Geneva. Four of the five bidders have been interviewed. Two bidders, Grota and Accurate were in attendance at the meeting. Lauderdale invited each to give a five minute presentation, which they did. Both answered questions from the Board. Personal Property and Mobile Homes were discussed, as our current Assessor has not begun these for 2010. Neither had an issued with attending to these two items immediately upon award of the contract. Lauderdale has ranked the bidders according to his standards and the top two were the ones in attendance at the meeting. Bids were annualized for comparison. These amounts included two years of maintenance and an exterior revaluation within the three-year contract. Bids received were:
Accurate $44,500 Annually
Grota $78,900 Annually
Tyler $73,600 Annually
Associates $54,900 Annually
Schultz $48,333 Annually
Motion (Lauderdale/Millard) to appoint Accurate Appraisal LLC as the Town of Geneva Assessor with the following conditions: 1) Have a meeting to discuss the contract submitted in the proposal; 2) That contract also be reviewed by Town Attorney Steve Harvey prior to signing. Approved 3-0. Lauderdale/Kirch to send a letter to Jud Schultz thanking him for his 16 years of service.
Motion (Millard/Kukla) to adjourn at 6:30 p.m. Approved 3-0.
