SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
JANUARY 21, 2009


Chairman Lauderdale called the duly posted and noticed meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. In addition to Lauderdale, in attendance were Supervisors Fahey, Kukla, Kamps, and Millard, Attorney Harvey, Chief Gritzner, and Administrator Downing. Clerk/Treasurer Kirch took the minutes of the meeting.

Motion (Kamps/Millard) to amend the agenda by moving Item #3 before Item #2. Approved 5-0. Motion (Kamps/Millard) to move to closed session regarding pending Department of Workforce Development complaint, pursuant to Sec. 19.85 (1)(g), Stats., conferring with legal counsel for the Town who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the Town with respect to litigation in which it is presently involved and regarding pending disciplinary action against Police Officers Anderson and Haase in CLOSED SESSION pursuant to Sec. 19.85 (1)(g), Stats., for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for the Town who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the Town with respect to litigation in which it is likely to become involved. Approved 5-0.

Chief Gritzner dismissed at 4:33 p.m.

Motion (Kamps/Fahey) to return to open session. Approved 5-0. Action taken in closed session included a motion made by Supervisor Kamps and seconded by Supervisor Millard, to take the grievances to the Police Commission and instructed Attorney Harvey to obtain Advocate Council for the Police Commission. Approved 5-0.

Motion (Kamps/Millard) to adjourn at 5:25 p.m. Approved 5-0.
