TOWN OF GENEVA

BUDGET WORKSHOP

NOVEMBER 5, 2010

Budget workshop began at 10:00 a.m. Chairman Lauderdale, Supervisors Millard, Kukla, and Kulik, Clerk/Treasurer Kirch, and Pat Romenesko were in attendance. Ken Mulhollon discussed ways to reduce the Police Department budget for 2011. Assessed value has dropped $6M plus an assessment drop of $2.2M from a Board of Review case. Three percent levy increase allowed. Discussed salary increases for non-represented employees of 3%, 1.5%, 0%. Discussed laptops for Board members, possible overall cost of the Lake Geneva Fire Department Contract, and contacting the DNR to get approval to raise daily launch fees to $7/$10. Motion (Lauderdale/Kukla) to adjourn the workshop at 12:23 p.m. Next meeting set for November 9 at 10:00 a.m. Currently budget sits at 4.8%.
